820 Reintegration

Hope House Inc.’s Bette Center is an Office of Addiction Services and Supports licensed reintegration residential program. This is a program designed to assist young adult and adult males to reintegrate back into their community. Case management and group services are provided to assist with developing independent living skills. This program helps men to connect with community services, which include substance use outpatient, mental health, medical, sober supports, education and/or vocational services. The Bette Center has an on-site recreation room and large backyard with a basketball court. The program is person centered and staff recognize that each person is at a different place in their recovery journey. Staff help residents to achieve the next step from residential support to some form of independent living.

In addition to the specialized services that are provided to the program, the men are also enrolled in outpatient treatment where they receive individual and group counseling and can receive medication assisted treatment, educational/vocational counseling, and psychiatric care from a psychiatric nurse practitioner.

820 Rehabilitation

The Men’s Rehabilitation Program is an Office of Addiction Services and Supports licensed 820 rehabilitation program. This is an intensive men’s residential treatment program. The Bette Center has 20 beds to provide comprehensive substance use disorder treatment to adult males age 18 and older. An intensive schedule of group therapy and weekly individual sessions provides individuals striving to achieve recovery the opportunity to establish a solid foundation of recovery. Primary medical care and mental health services are offered on-site. At the Men's Rehabilitation Program, we recognize the need for balance in recovery and incorporate recreational activities into our programming schedule. The Men’s Rehabilitation Program has an on-site recreation room. In recognizing the need for individuals in early recovery to maintain contact with family and positive sober supports, family visiting time is scheduled and encouraged.

Hope House’s Women’s Recovery Program (WRP) is an Office of Addiction Services and Supports licensed residential program featuring the rehabilitation and reintegration elements of care located in the heart of the Capital District in Albany, NY. We provide a confidential, safe, supportive, and substance free dorm-like setting where women ages eighteen and up can maintain sobriety while achieving their individual goals of self-sufficiency and family reunification. The Women’s Recovery Program staff provide services with a client centered, trauma-informed approach including but not limited to on site physical health needs, medication assisted treatment (MAT), mental health counseling and medication management, as well as individual, family and group sessions. In the rehabilitation element clients have intensive programming and in the reintegration element clients begin to attend outpatient as they start their transition back into the local community.

819 Community Residence

Women with substance use disorders, particularly those who are mothers or are pregnant, have unique, significant and complex issues that affect and are affected by their families and the larger community. At the Women and Children’s Program, we understand and address those issues.


The Women and Children's Program is a Community Residence providing a confidential, safe, supportive, and substance-free “halfway house” setting where women ages 18 and up can maintain sobriety while achieving their individual goals of self-sufficiency and family reunification.


At the Women and Children’s Program, services are provided to individual women as well as mothers with children or women who are pregnant. Priority is given to pregnant women who were intravenous drug users. Mothers can bring up to two children under the age of 9, census permitting.


In addition to the specialized services that are provided in the program, the women are also enrolled in outpatient treatment where they receive individual and group counseling and can receive medication assisted treatment, educational/vocational counseling, and psychiatric care from a psychiatric nurse practitioner.


Our facility is staffed 24 hours a day by compassionate and knowledgeable personnel who guide and support each resident towards their desired recovery.

Our program strives to empower women with substance use disorders to begin a process of recovery through an individualized continuum of intensive residential treatment and supportive living services.

The Next Step Supportive Living program is designed for individuals who exhibit the skills and strengths necessary to maintain abstinence and readapt to independent living in the community while receiving the minimal clinical and peer support provided by this residential environment. Individuals participating in this level of care do not require twenty-four hour a day on-site supervision by clinical staff. Outpatient clinical services will be scheduled for at least one time per week and are designed to support residents in their efforts to maintain abstinence and reduce the probability of relapse.

819 Community Residence

Hope House Elizabeth House is a community residence for women. The program individualizes treatment and discharge planning. Elizabeth House creates a safe, supportive and structured environment for the women to be able to focus on their recovery and emotional wellbeing. In addition to building recovery, staff work with residents to develop mental health stability and prioritize their medical health. They also encourage and support our residents to build overall wellness which includes sober leisure skills and activities, sober supports, improved family relationships, volunteering, and to explore educational options and vocational readiness.
